I don't know why this restaurant has so many negative reviews!? We came and were seated also immediately (after a table wipe down), we ordered our food and within 10 minutes it had arrived. The batter was extremely light and very crunchy. One of the best batters I've had in a very long time. Thoroughly enjoyed our little meal out for Mother's Day. All in all, 2 kids portions, one sausage and chips, bowl of chips with bread bun and 2 bottles of pop 35.
Always top quality fish and chips here. Quick service and pleasant atmosphere. Clean premises with plenty of outdoor seating. Properly cooked chips! Delicious!
We had a couple of chip butties, some pop & a fruit shoot for the little one. Food was good. Only issue I could make is the fact that they advertise fruit shoot, but we got a different generic orange drink. Our 2 year old didn't care.
Came on a day out to Saltburn on the train. Took a walk down to the beach where we found this fish and chips shop. The prices were reasonable for a tourist location, but both the food and the service were exemplary. The fish were cooked to order and had a batter that melted in the mouth - absolutely delicious. We also tried a little pot of the chip shop curry which was beautiful with the chips and had a slight fruity twang. The lady gave us an order number once we had paid and gave us a shout once the food was ready. The restaurant part was closed (perhaps only being open during peak season) but it was nice to sit outside and listen to the sea and watch the seagulls circle overhead while we ate our delicious food. We're already talking about hiring a car next time and coming later in the year - this place will definitely be on the checklist

Beautiful fish and chips and seafood platter by the sea! Large portions and really tasty. We love bringing the dog with us to run on the beach and treat ourselves to fish and chips and ice creams when it's warmer. Dogs welcome in the outside seating area.

Despite arriving with wellies full of sand and seawater, we were given a warm welcome by the patient, understanding staff, who tidied up after us and our 2 young children without fuss. The food was promptly served and delicious. We'll definitely come back!
